Neutron Irradiation Facility
VacuTec Messtechnik GmbH operates a neutron irradiation facility with exactly aligned moderated neutrons from a Cf-252 fission neutron source for the development and production of neutron detectors. The irradiation unit is installed in a concrete container on all sides.
Characteristic
The moderated fission spectrum has the typical spectral shape with rapid share, the Bremsstrahlung with 1/E-dependency and the thermalized component. It covers an energy range from a few meV to about 10 MeV, see data sheet for neutron irradiation facility.
